[Sullivan and Brett papers], 1985-1991.

Items in this collection were culled from Ms. Coll. 77, which deals strictly with the redistricting efforts of Representatives Sullivan and Brett. The collection comprises correspondence covering such issues as healthcare reform, recycling, and unemployment benefits. The bulk of the materials dates from 1991. One letter, addressed to Senator Edward Kennedy, pertains to the establishment of the Blackstone River Valley Heritage Corridor. An unannotated report in the papers of James Brett entitled "The impact of the Bartley-Fox gun law on crime in Massachusetts" (Glenn L. Pierce) was discarded. This report can be found in the library's general collection.
